The end surface centering of seamless steel tube billet is divided into front center centering, rear center centering, and front and rear end centering.
The purpose of centering the front end of the seamless steel tube blank is to ensure that the tip of the blank can be accurately aligned with the center of the blank at the moment of biting, so as to avoid uneven wall thickness at the front end of the capillary; in addition, the funnel-shaped centering hole at the front of the blank is beneficial Increase the contact area of the tube billet and the roll before the plug and the tube billet contact, thereby improving the secondary bite conditions; at the same time, the centering hole at the front end of the tube billet can reduce the instantaneous impact of the front end surface of the tube billet and the plug head during the secondary bite. , Reduce the wear of the nose of the head and prolong the service life of the head. Allow the centering hole to deviate from the center within 2mm from the center of the tube blank.
The purpose of centering the end of the seamless steel tube billet is not only to reduce the production accidents caused by the broken end of the capillary tube; but also to prevent the "iron ear" from being generated at the end of the capillary tube, and to avoid the "iron ear" being brought into the hair when the mandrel is inserted. The inner hole of the tube scratches the mandrel, causing inward folding and reducing the service life of the mandrel. When rolling large-diameter thin-walled steel pipes, the centering effect of the tube billet tail end is more obvious.
The centering of the front and rear ends of the seamless steel tube billet refers to the centering of the front end on a tube billet and the rear end centering on the tail end. It has the above-mentioned double effect of centering the front end and centering the tail end.
The centering of the front end or the rear end of the seamless steel tube billet is not required in all cases. For example, when rolling small-diameter thin-walled pipes, even if the front end centering is not used, the wall thickness deviation of the front end of the steel pipe is not obvious. When rolling thick-walled pipes, the tail end centering is not necessary.
