The difference between ASTM A500 GR A, B, and C is the difference in mechanical properties.

1. ASTM stands for American Society for Testing and Materials. Formerly known as the International Association for Testing Materials (IATM).

2. ASTM standard numbering form: "standard code + letter classification code + standard serial number + formulation year + standard English name to express".

(1) Standard code -- ASTM;

(2) The meaning of the letter classification code: A -- ferrous metal;

(3) Standard serial number -- 500, refers to the standard specification for cold-formed welded and seamless carbon steel structural pipes of round and section steels, and the inch unit standard without the letter M.

3. Mechanical properties:

(1) GR A: tensile strength 310MPa, yield strength 228MPa, elongation (min) min25.

(2) GR B: tensile strength 400MPa, yield strength 290MPa, elongation (min) min23.

(3) GR C: tensile strength 427MPa, yield strength 317MPa, elongation (min) min21.

(4) GR D: tensile strength 400MPa, yield strength 250MPa, elongation (min) min23.
