3. Performance

The properties of welded pipes and seamless pipes are also different. The strength and hardness of the welded pipe are low, but the toughness and plasticity are good, and it is suitable for some occasions with low pressure and low temperature. The seamless pipe has high strength and hardness, but poor toughness and plasticity, and is suitable for some high-pressure and high-temperature occasions.

4. Application

In addition to differences in the manufacturing process and performance, welded and seamless pipes also differ in their uses. Welded pipes are mainly used in general low-pressure fluid transportation, building structures, machinery manufacturing, and other fields; while seamless pipes are widely used in petroleum, chemical, natural gas, nuclear power, and other fields, as well as high-speed trains, aerospace, and other fields.
